Backgammon Review
The game of Backgammon has been around a long time, with origins dating back possibly 5000 years. Backgammon underwent a revival before the first World War but waned during the middle of the twentieth century only to recover again in the 1970s to become the popular game it is today.

With the coming of the Internet it is now possible to play Backgammon online at any time of the day or night with people from all over the world. The rules are simple and relatively easy to learn. It's fast-action all the way, and fun to play either face-to-face on a real board or over the Internet.

It is a game of luck and skill, played by two people with 15 checkers each on a board consisting of 24 spaces or points. The checkers are moved according to rolls of the dice. Each player tries to bring his own checkers home and bear them off before his opponent does, hitting and blocking the enemy checkers along the way. The number of variations to the basic game are numerous, and include:
